5 Tips For Your Spring Fest Concert

5 Tips For Your Spring Fest Concert

Whether we want to believe that spring is here or not the semester will be ending before we know it! Are you preparing for your end of the year “Big Show?” Popular concerts happening now are B.o.B, Walle, DNCE, Logic, Mac Miller, Hoodie Allen, Locash and more! Here are five tips to check off your list that will make for a successful program!

Maximize Ticket Sales

Sometimes shows don’t sell as quickly as you would like! Make sure your social media accounts are consistent with posts every day leading up to the day of the show. Ask yourself if the posts are informative; do they have the ticket sales location, price, deadline for buying tickets? Use every aspect of social media to your benefit; “Instastories” are fun and eye catching! Ask your organization members for help to spread the word. Give everyone a poster that they can hang in their dorm, ask them to repost and share Facebook and Instagram posts as well as tweets. Give away tickets during events leading up to the concert as well as make announcements about the show. Give away something fun to the first 100 students at the concert, like sunglasses, glow sticks or Tshirts! Always feel free to ask your middle agent for advice on ticket sales.

Prepare for Weather

We all know this Spring has been a little chillier than normal. Prepare for rain and yes, even snow as you plan your large concert. Do you have a back up location or a rain plan if your show is scheduled to be outdoors? What is the capacity of the indoor venue? Make sure you have a deadline on when you should make the call and create a list of everyone you need to inform, including the show attendees!

Add a Pre Concert Event

Adding a fun activity, artist or make and take item to the pre event creates a fun environment and helps with attendance. Check out Neon Entertainment’s inflatables, make and take items and variety acts for ideas!

Be Unique
