LIJIE BIOGRAPHY: her Myspace page After completing college, Lijie moved to L.A. and while waiting tables for two years began the process of developing her first album Roam, which she worked on with producer Erik Colvin (demo-producer for Puddle of Mudd). Once her song Roam was written her instinct told her that this would be her title track because in one simple word it described everything she felt...”lost inside of [herself] and searching for a crazy amount of love” (Lijie). The word love has been the inspiration for much of Lijie’s work. She says “I am driven by love. I love the word in itself. I love the way it feels rolling off my tongue. And I love hearing the word being said by someone else.” Hopeless romantic…perhaps…but it makes for some great songwriting and singing!
