RICHEY LAM BIOGRAPHY:

Richey Lam, like many of today’s great artists, grew up with a strong musical background. With grandparents heavily involved in the arts, Richey Lam picked up the violin at age 6, bought a piano and wrote his first song by the age of 8, and began voice lessons at the age of 10. From then on, Lam continued writing songs and never looked back. Throughout high school, Richey began to develop his writing skills with influences ranging from Billy Joel to Dave Mathews, Boyz II Men to Nirvana, and even classic love songs and musicals. After attending college, Lam moved to L.A. and instantly became a hit on the local music scene. His Pop/Folk sound with a little bit of R&B thrown in was just what the local market demanded. He was honored as a finalist in VH1’s Song of the Year contest, and soon enough had songs featured on MTV’s The Real World. In 2004, Richey released his first EP, “Love vs. The Brain.” Richey Lam has gained a loyal following since, and is currently booking shows and touring across the country.
