JUSTINE BENNETT BIOGRAPHY:

her Myspace page

“Justine sings like an angel”, these are the words most commonly used to describe her vocal ability and her connection with audiences. She has taken San Francisco by storm and continues to warm the city with her heart felt lyrics, melodic music and small town Canadian charm. She’s a country/folk girl to her core with her style is reminiscent of Sarah Machlachlan-Natalie Merchant-Joni Mitchell and Emmylou Harris.

Her move from British Columbia to the Bay Area has proven to be extremely successful. She has played live on KFOG (SF”s favorite radio station), is a regular performer in the Fillmore Lounge and has created a fan base all over the globe with her weekly slot in Del Monte Square, at the end of Fisherman’s Warf. She performed this year at the famed music festival, SxSw, in Austin, TX

Justine has worked and recorded with some of the Bay Areas finest musicians and producers. Her first EP, which was recorded at the world famous Skywalker Ranch, was produced by Jason Carmer. (Third Eye Blind, The Donnas) and featured Brian Mantia, (drummer for Tom Waits) and Joe Gore (guitarist for Tracy Chapman). She’s also collaborated with Stephan Jenkins, producer and front man for the band Third Eye Blind. She’s a professional in every sense of the word and continues to make herself known in the San Francisco music scene.

With two albums recorded and the recent completion of a two-month college tour, Justine is one artist who deserves recognition. She is currently finishing her new EP at Warehouse Studios in Vancouver, with the well-known Canadian producer Jeff Dawson. They enrolled the help of Joe Cruz (he plays guitar for Sarah Mclachlan) to create the sound they were looking for. Folk-Country-Pop….she’s somewhere in between. You be the judge.
